Navigate to Upload Layer page

  • Only Registered user can upload layers.
  • At first Sign In with your valid Username & password.
  • Click LAYERS option from menu.
  • Then click Upload Layers.







Allowed Layer Types

  • As a user you are allow to upload following types of layer.
> Shape Layer : .shp .shx .dbf .prj
> Zipped Shape Layer : .shp .shx .dbf .prj
> Open Street Map Layer : .osm
> Excel Format Data Layer : .csv
> Image Layer : .tif








Layer Uploading Procedure

Uploading Shape Layer

1. To upload an OSM type layer properly you need to insert Layer Title.
2. Select an Organization from the drop down menu. If you are not an organization member then you can upload layer only under the Others type Organization.
3. Select a layer Category from drop down menu.
4. Select Upload File Type as.shp, .shx, dbf, .prj
5. You can drop the layer file or,
6. Browse the layer file from your local drive.
7. Uploaded layer files will show.
8. Select a character set or leave it default.














Uploading OSM Layer

1. To upload an OSM type layer properly you need to insert Layer Title.
2. Select an Organization from the drop down menu. If you are not an organization member then you can upload layer only under the Others type Organization.
3. Select a layer Category from drop down menu.
4. Select Upload File Type as.osm
5. Select the OSM Layer Type from the drop down.
6. You can drop the layer file or,
7. Browse the layer file from your local drive.
8. Select a character set or leave it default.













Uploading CSV Layer

1. To upload a CSV type layer properly you need to insert Layer Title.
2. Select an Organization from drop down menu. If you are not an organization member then you can upload layer only under Others type Organization.
3. Select a layer Category from drop down menu.
4. Select Upload File Type as.csv
5 You can drop the layer file or,
6. Browse the layer file from your local drive.
7. Select any on Geometry Definition Options from followings-

> Well Known Text(WKT) - Select Coordinate from drop down list (e.g.- geom)
> Latitude Point Coordinates - Select X-field (longitude) and Select Y-field (latitude)

8. Select a character set or leave it default.











Set Permissions & Upload

  • You can set Permissions for your layers for the following questions.
> Who can view it?
  • Anyone checked means anyone can view this layer.
  • You can mention the usernames under The following users tab to give the permission to view the layer.
  • You can also set permissions for selected organizations under The following groups tab.
> Who can download it?
> Who can change metadata for it?
> Who can edit data for this layer?
> Who can edit styles for this layer?
> Who can manage it? (update, delete, change permissions, publish/unpublish it)

  • At the bottom of the page you will the Upload files to upload the layer.

  • After uploading layer successfully you will get following 3 options-
> Layer Info to view layer details
> Edit Metadata to edit layer's Metadata information.
> Manage Styles to edit layer's styles.
